Laura Bedson Laura began swimming at 8 years old with the Lake Hills Swim team. She started swimming with the Water Rats at age 10. Laura graduated from Fairfield Warde High School as team captain, record holder and All State Selection. With the Water Rats, she is a team record holder, Y National finalist, and Sectional qualifier. She is a USA Swimming Scholastic All American, member of the National and Spanish Honor Society, participated in many community and extra-curricular activities and plays cello in the school orchestra. Laura will attend Emory University in the fall and will study Political Science/Business. |

Cydney Eldh Cydney began swimming with the Water Rats at age 6 and returned to the team after her family relocated to England for two years. Cydney graduated from Staples High School as a two-time Class "L" champion in the 100 Breaststroke, and achieved 1st and 2nd honors every semester. A Y National Qualifier, she is a founding member of the Boogie for Breast Cancer. Cydney will attend Franklin and Marshall in the fall. |

Danny Platow Danny began swimming with the Water Rats at age 6. Danny graduated from Fairfield Prep as a Class "L" champion and record holder, member of the National Honor Society and Cum Laude. He is a Y National Finalist and Sectional qualifier. His extra-curricular activities include Operation Hope and Swim Across the Sound. He will follow older brother, David and will attend the University of the Pacific. Danny won the Bob Knoebel Scholarship this year. |

Ozzy Torrez Ozzy began swimming at the age of 6 with the Stratford Sea Dogs. He became a Water Rat at age 16. He graduated from Fairfield Prep as team Captain, All-State and All-American Selection and Magna Cum Laude. As a Water Rat he is a two-time Y National qualifier and relay finalist. Ozzy will attend Loyola College in Maryland and will study Business. |

Phillip Novotny Phillip began swimming with the Water Rats at age 6. He graduated from Fairfield Warde High School as team Captain, State Open Finalist, Scholar Athlete, and member of the Head Masters List. As a Water Rat, Phillip is a Y Nationals and Sectionals finalist. He participates annually in the Swim Across the Sound. He will attend the University of Maryland Baltimore County and will study engineering. Phillip won the Andrew Sawyer Memorial Award this year. |
