This holiday season was not joyous for many people in Westport and Weston. The economic crisis has caused tension and uncertainty at work. Some have already lost their jobs. At times like this, the Westport Weston Family Y is more important than ever as people try to control the stress in their professional lives.

The Family Y is committed to meeting the needs of our community and we do so regardless of people’s ability to pay. This year we have given more scholarships than ever. Some of that demand has been from Water Rat Swim Team members whose parents have been laid off.

We expect demand for financial assistance to be even bigger in 2009, so we ask you to consider a gift to the Family Y’s Strong Kids Campaign. (Click on the logo below for details.) The money we raise may help keep your child’s best friend on the team.
