Greetings from Mahackeno
Every summer, WWFY Camp Mahackeno runs a wide range of programming that enriches the lives of children in an outdoor
day camp atmosphere.
Two miles from downtown Westport, the camp creates a unique environment with vast opportunity. We have day camp programs
for children entering first grade through ninth.
Summer positions at WWFY Camp Mahackeno are for hard working, enthusiastic people who enjoy fun and fellowship. It is work
for dedicated individuals who have a sincere desire to teach children and have a positive impact on their lives. The work
is demanding of your time, energy and emotions, and requires a great deal of self-motivation, patience, and creativity.
It takes the kind of person who can have a positive attitude - anywhere at anytime! Camp Mahackeno requires that all staff
members be certified in First Aid and CPR in order to maintain a strong commitment to safety.
Working at a camp means making new friends, learning new camp songs but most importantly, making a difference in children's lives.
The key to the success of our programs is our camp staff. As role models for the campers, we look to our staff to demonstrate
the following core values in their work:
