All Swimmers Must Participate in Citrus Fundraiser
It is the start of the Fall 2011 Swimming season and we once again launch our annual Citrus Sale, which is the only fundraiser in support of our entire team. The funds raised provide financial aid for swimmers and helps many attend swim meets.

USA Swimming Recognizes Water Rat Swim Team for Excellence
This week USA Swimming informed the Water Rat Swim Team that it had been recognized as a Level II team. This makes the Water Rats one of only five teams in Connecticut to be a Level II team (or above).

33 Water Rats Invited to CSI's 2011 Annual Awards Banquet
A total of 33 Water Rat Swim Team members have been invited to the 2011 Annual Awards Banquet, where Connecticut Swimming honors swimmers from the Nutmeg State. Connecticut's top 16 swimmers in each individual event for each age group, including the Open Water Championship, and Connecticut Scholar Athletes have been invited to the banquet, which will be held at the Aqua...

Win First Place in Three Age Groups at Annual Kiwanis Event
Water Rat Swim Team members placed in three different age groups in Sunday's (9/11) Westport Kiwanis Minuteman Triathlon. Christoph Russi, who finished 164th overall, came in first in the boys 10-12 age group with a time of 1:01:45.7. Dashiell Hunter, who was 233rd overall, came in third in the boys 10-12 age group with a time of 1:12:35.2.

All 8/Under and Age Group swimmers are invited to participate in the upcoming Strong Kids Triathlon on Sunday September 18 at Staples High School. This is a fun, friendly event for ages 2-10+ and all proceeds benefit the Y's Strong Kids Campaign. All participants will receive a t-shirt and medal. Triathletes will also compete for age group awards.
