Senior Swimmers Are Invited to Attend 60th Anniversary
Current members of the Senior team are invited to the 60th Anniversary dinner on May 2, 2009. Come socialize with your former coaches and meet recent alumni. You can ask them about swimming in college. If you didn't get an invitation in the mail, you can download one here.
Wiederecht Took Eighth In 200 Butterfly
The Water Rat Swim Team placed 17th overall at the 2009 National YMCA Short Course Championship. Click to see the rankings. During the last evening of finals, Christopher Wiederecht took eighth in the 200 Butterfly with a time of 1:52.57. (See Chris's race below.) Congratulations swimmers!
Grinalds Fourth in 200 FR, Horrigan First in 200 BR B Final
On Tuesday, Savitri Horrigan won the Y Nationals consolation final in the 200 Breaststroke, setting a new team record of 2:19.59. Meanwhile Andrew Grinalds took fourth in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:39.29. Up next for the Rats is the 400 IM, 100 FR and 200 BK. With loads of sun and temperatures in the low 80's it's perfect weather for fast swimming. …
