Senior News, November 10
A good bit of time has passed since the last edition of the Senior News. We have a lot going on but will keep this brief so as not to inundate you all with information overload.
Rewind - Meet Week again. No forecast for snow this weekend. Thank goodness. We are looking forward to seeing everyone race at the Freestyle Frenzy. With a few more weeks of training under our belts, we are confident some tremendous swims will be attained at our home pool. Swimmers are reminded of the importance of swimming in and out of all the walls and head down finishes. I ask the swimmers this – do you really want to do any push-ups after your swim?
Additionally, about the Frenzy this weekend, the 500 freestyle will be heat limited due to excessive entries. Once we have all the scratches, we will be able to determine how many total heats we will be able to run. Swimmers are to provide their own timer and lap counter for the 500. Lastly, regarding the Frenzy, we have some slots still open for volunteer opportunities. Please sign up on the Super Meets page of the team website. Mega thanks to all who have been prepping for the meet and those who signed up to volunteer. This year’s meet has a terrific group of teams that will be attending.
Meet t-shirts will be available for purchase. The design is awesome. You will definitely want to get one, especially with this being the inaugural Maura Marden Freestyle Frenzy.
Also racing this weekend are high school girls who have their state trials on Saturday. We will have swimmers in all four state classes. GO WRATS!!!!!
We will regroup on Monday and get ready for the New Canaan meet. It is great we are able to get some great racing in before December. Let’s make sure we take advantage of these opportunities.
New team caps are in – latex and silicone – and will have them available on deck at the meet. VERY stylish!

Saturday, November 12th: Senior Team practice will be 5:30-7:15ish at the Y. Sunday, November 13th: ALL 13 & Overs are to be on deck at 6:45 am. TEAM APPAREL ONLY!!!!!
Monday, November 14th: NO AM practice - Regular afternoon. MEN’S TEAM MEETING IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING PRACTICE. PICK UP SHOULD BE 6 PM.
