Letter From the Parents Club Co-Presidents
Dear Water Rat Swim Team Parents:
Greetings and happy summer to all Water Rat parents and swimmers!
As we wrap up a terrific long course season characterized by lots of great swims and fun meets, we are now preparing for what is certain to be an even better 2010-2011 Water Rat swim team program. Early this week all registration information and instructions, practice assignments and practice schedules will be posted on the team web site.
Please note that Parents Club fees for the upcoming season are $275 for one swimmer and $350 for two swimmers. In lieu of fund-raising initiatives that have not raised enough money to cover our increased costs, these increases are necessary to ensure the funding to support the team. As you know, your Parent Club fees support the successful management of our swim meets, which is critical to the successful operation of our team. Next year we will see increased costs in several areas, including USA Swimming costs to ensure our officials and meet staff are properly certified, and to fund capital expenditures such as a new computer and components for our touch pad timing systems.
And please save the date -- Sunday, September 19, from 2 to 4 pm in the Lower Gym at the Y -- for our annual registration Expo to meet your swimmers' coaches, prepare for your Parents Club participation and finalize your registration.
