JAG Team News 10/26
Thank you to all the parents who attended the Coaches Meeting on Saturday October 22. I hope you enjoyed learning about me, my philosophy, and our WRAT program. I feel very lucky to be coaching at a great club with very supportive parents and super kids! It sure makes coming to work FUN!
If you are like me, I have my list of “things to do” so I can remember what to do and when to do it! So here is my updated list……..
1) The IMX Meet @ Central Connecticut State University is this Saturday and Sunday. (NO practice for anyone not going to the meet!)
1a. Warm up for IMX swimmers is 7:00 am
1b. Warm up for 9+10 year old non-IMX swimmers is NOON
Remember to be on deck and ready to swim at least 15 minutes BEFORE warm up begins!
2) NO PRACTICE- MONDAY OCTOBER 31-HAPPY HALLOWEEN-remember to turn in your grapefruit orders!
3) Saturday November 5, 9-10 am in the Breslin room- Please attend a coffee at the Y to hear an update on our plans to build our new family Y.
4) Mark your calendars on Tuesday November 8 5:15 pm for our Annual BLUE and RED INTRA-SQUAD meet. This is a FUN function that involves the entire WRAT team.
5) Saturday November 12- Maura Marden FREESTYLE FRENZY at the Y. Many of the JAG swimmers will swim the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle in this meet.
6) November 18-20, Pam Libertiny Qualifier@ NCY.(Only a few swimmers will swim the 500 free on Friday November 18)
7) November 24-25-NO PRACTICE-HAPPY THANKSGIVING
8) Saturday November 26-2nd Annual Turkey Burn Workout@ Staples HS. This is another fun activity where the age group program gets to run and swim (and I get to coach my track and cross country drills!)
9) MONDAY NOVEMBER 28 is the start of our winter session. Please check the website for the days and times of each group.
10) Sunday December 4, Age Group Qualifier@Hopkins School. Remember to opt-out of the meet if you cannot attend.
