A Great Start to the Season
First, I want to thank you all very much for your help at the swim meets. It makes it so much easier to prepare your swimmers for competition when the parents have stepped up and taken care of our team work responsibilities. So, THANK YOU!
I set three goals going into the last two meets:
1) Have fun: swimmers, coaches, and parents.
2) Put into action all the things that we have been working on at practice (technical skills, turns, starts, etc.).
3) See results: I wanted our swimmers to see how strong they are and how well they can do when they have put in the hard work.
We accomplished ALL these goals and more. And we had a ton of fun and a slew of best times, which is always a bonus.
New Canaan Pentathlon
At the New Canaan Pentathlon 90% of our swimmers had at least one best time and many were improvements of over 10 seconds, which is tremendous for a meet that was almost all 50
