AG Championship Volunteer Assignments

Water Rat Parents In Charge of Hospitality
Connecticut Swimming has asked the Water Rats Parents' Club to be in charge of hospitality during this year's Short Course Age Group Championship, which will be held March 11-14 at Wesleyan University. We were asked to take on this job because of our long-standing reputation for efficiency and hard work.

Hospitality is a big responsibility, which requires feeding 60-80 coaches and officials during all ten sessions of the championship, so we have assigned the parents of every Water Rat listed below to work during the meet (based on their child's entry). A few senior boys were left off the list because they may not compete in the Age Group Championship since it conflicts with high school swimming's Class LL Trials. However, if your son is in this select group and he competes in the Age Group Championship, you will be expected to volunteer to work at Wesleyan. (You should check in with the hospitality supervisor during warmups.)

Parents of the swimmers listed below should download the work assignment chart to see when they are working. We have assigned parents based on the number of events their child will swim (and the child's potential to make finals). Some parents are working 6-7 times during the weekend, but most of you will work 2-3 times at most. If you are listed as "hospitality backup," you should check in with the supervisor in the hospitality suite to see if you are needed. If you are listed as "official if attending," and you are an official, we hope you will volunteer to officiate. If not, you will be expected to work in the hospitality suite. Also, if the parent who is an official does not attend the championship, his or her spouse will be expected to volunteer in the hospitality suite.

After you have found your work assignment, please sign up on SuperMeets to verify your participation.

CSI has arranged to have lunch and dinner catered. Members of the Parents Club board will purchase paper goods and snacks for the meet and food for the three breakfasts. The rest of you will only need to serve food and keep the hospitality suite tidy - which means you will have plenty of free time to watch your child swim.

We thank you in advance for helping us demonstrate again that we are one of the most efficient parents' clubs in Connecticut Swimming.
