Age Group Championship Practices
Swimmers Going to March Championships on Adv. Schedule
Congratulations to everyone who swam at the CT Regional Championship this past weekend. We had a terrific meet with lots of best swims, many of which met the CT Age Group Championship qualifying times. For those of you who missed qualifying for the CT Age Group Championship or the YMCA New England Championship (see list below), the CT Regional Championship marked the end of the Short Course season. The Long Course season begins April 26, 2010. Swimmers who are changing practice groups will be notified by March 20th.
We will offer two weeks of optional pre-season practices from Monday, March 1st through Thursday, March 11 for those swimmers who have finished their competition for the Short Course season and are getting ready for the spring. In order to accommodate swimmers who are preparing for championships and swimmers who are getting ready for the new season, we are changing the practice schedule for the next two weeks.
The schedule for the pre-season group will be the same as the Intermediate practice times from the Short Course season (with a 15-minute later start). Those swimmers who have qualified for the CT Age Group Championship or the YMCA New England Championship will practice during the Advanced practice times from the Short Course season.
Practice for CT Age Group and YMCA New England Qualifiers
Mon, Wed, & Friday 3:45pm to 5:30pm
Tuesday & Thursday 5:30pm to 7:00pm
Saturday March 6, 2010 8:30 to 10:00am
Pre-Season Practice
Monday through Thursday 7:00 to 8:15pm
Saturday March 6, 2010 10 to 11:00am
There will be no practices for any group from Friday, March 12 through Monday, March 15th, because of the championship meets. There will be a week of post-season practice for all groups from Monday, March 15th through Saturday, March 20th. These practices will be held with the same schedule as the regular Short Course season.
SWIM CLINIC: April 19 - April 23, 2010
The coaches will offer an optional Spring Recess Swim Clinic the week of April 19th, which will run Monday through Friday of the school vacation from 8:30am to 3pm. Detailed information and prices for the supplemental clinic will be posted soon.
