Start/Turn Clinic For AG Teams on 10/29

We will be holding a special Start and Turn Clinic on Friday, October 29th. Swimmer's won't want to miss it! Practices that day will be as follows:

•5:15-6:15 pm: SAG, TAG I&II
•6:15-7:15 pm: JAG I&II and Blue

Age Group Practice Changes 10/23-24

Practice Schedule for Swimmers Not Attending IMX Cup
Coaches will hold a modified practice schedule for Age Group swimmers who are not going to the IMX Cup in Cheshire. The JAG I & II groups will have practice as regularly scheduled. (The 8/Under Red and Blue groups are not affected by the schedule changes.)

NC Y Pentathlon—Go Wrats!

This is an exciting weekend for the Water Rats. We have our first meets of the season for the Age Group 12/Unders at New Canaan and our 8/Unders at home at the Westport Weston Family YMCA. All the coaches are very excited to see our swimmers perform. Everyone has been working very hard at practice and we are very pleased with the progress so far....

Age Group “PK” and Pentathlon

We continued our technique drills for the second week of JAG, SAG, and TAG practices. This week we concentrated more on the short axis strokes--butterfly/breaststroke, as compared to the long axis strokes-- freestyle/backstroke.

We also introduced a new drill into our repertoire which everyone loved! It is called POWER KICK or PK for short. The first part of the drill is done by kicking...
