Lillian Fama…… Lillian earned a Dance Certificate from Naugatuck Valley Community College in 2007. Lillian is a native of Connecticut and began her training locally where she participated in numerous regional and national dance competitions. She continued her studies in NYC at Broadway Dance Center concentrating on Jazz, Hip Hop, and Tap with Chris Hale, Jim Clark, Frank Hatchett, Fernando, Bette Morrow, Leslie Feliciano and Rodney Moore. Lillian has performed and choreographed in productions of 42nd Street, Damn Yankees, Annie and Annie Get Your Gun to name a few and was a member of the Terpsichorean Dance Ensemble at NVCC. This summer, Lillian traveled with Miss Michele to SUNY at Buffalo to participate in Dance Masters of America, Inc. Teachers Training School, a four-level intensive dance teacher program. Congratulations and welcome back Miss Lillian!
Danette Meigel-Cahr…… Danette has been a professional dancer/choreographer for over twenty years. She is a graduate of The Cultural Arts High School where she earned a Certificate in Dance. Danette has appeared as a dancer, model, and VJ on MTV’s “Club MTV” and “The Grind,” and has performed with many different professional and amateur dance troops and theater groups throughout the Tri-State area. Besides teaching at the Westport Weston Family Y Dance Center, Danette continues to teach dance at Connecticut Ballet. Danette is looking forward to sharing her dance and creativity abilities with the students at the Westport Weston Family Y Dance Center! Welcome Miss Danette!
Fujiko Ueda……Fujiko, a native of Japan, was trained in Modern, Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Tap at Tokyo Communication Art Dance School. She then relocated to New York and attended the prestigious Peri Dance Center in NYC where she studied Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, and Modern dance. Fujiko continued her studies at Broadway Dance Center in Hip Hop and Funk Jazz. Currently, Fujiko is also on faculty at Connecticut Ballet in Stamford, CT and the Conservatory Dance Studio in Georgetown, CT. The Westport Weston Family Y Dance Center is excited to have Fujiko on board. Welcome Fujiko!
Maria Francesconi…… Maria is a graduate of Virginia School of the Arts and The Catholic University of America, with a degree in Musical Theatre and Dance. She is a member of Dance Masters of America and the Actors Equity Assoc. Maria has taught and choreographed for dance schools all over the tri state area and is currently teaching at the Professional Performing Arts School in NY and Broadway Bound Kids in NY to name a few. Some of her professional credits include working under choreographer Joey Mcneely, Baayork Lee, performing in West Side Story the International Tour, Animal Crackers and Beehive. Welcome back Miss Maria!
